We are very please to say that our nursery has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ from Ofsted:
“The nursery's motto is: 'Learning to play - playing to learn', and this is thoroughly embedded in all areas of nursery practice. As a result, the provision for children's learning and development is outstanding.”
We have invested in software to make learning Journeys online and for parents to be able to contribute to them.
We have CCTV recording in all the rooms where children and parents interact. This is to ensure any allegations against a child, parent or staff can be investigated. We are looking at installing CCTV in the gardens, but this is not yet done because of safeguarding others using the school site.
We have made a thorough risk assessment of potential risks to children. As a result, we have improved parent entry and exit systems to the nursery. The Logcabin entry door has a door alarm that sounds if it is left open for more than 30 seconds.
We have finger print entry systems on the doors and in some cases of child protection, we do remove the entry for a parent who is not allowed to collect the child.
